Agreement to Terms
By booking services with Maria's PetBNB, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
Services Provided
Maria's PetBNB provides in-home pet boarding and care services for dogs in the San Diego area. Our services include:
- Overnight boarding in a cage-free, home environment
- 24/7 supervision and care
- Regular feeding according to your instructions
- Daily exercise and playtime
- Photo and video updates
- Administration of medications (when applicable)
Booking & Reservations
- New Clients: Please provide detailed information about your pet when booking. In some cases, we may request a brief meet and greet before confirming the reservation.
- Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit or full payment as agreed. You will receive a confirmation notification via SMS or email when your booking request is submitted.
- Availability: Reservations are subject to availability. We recommend booking early, especially during holidays and peak seasons.
Payment Terms
- Accepted Methods: We accept Zelle, Apple Cash, and Cash.
- Payment Schedule: Full payment is due at the time of drop-off unless otherwise arranged.
- Invoices: You may receive an invoice via email or SMS with a breakdown of charges for your booking.
- Holiday Rates: Holiday rates may apply during peak periods and will be communicated at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy
- Standard Bookings: Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the scheduled drop-off will receive a full refund.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before drop-off may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- Holiday Bookings: Holiday reservations require 7 days notice for cancellation. Late cancellations may forfeit the deposit.
- No-Shows: No-shows without prior communication will be charged in full.
Vaccination & Parasite Prevention
All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations:
- DAPP (a.k.a. DHPP) Vaccine
- Rabies
- Leptospirosis
- Bordetella
- Canine Influenza
All dogs must also be on a flea and parasite prevention program. If fleas are discovered during your dog's stay, we will administer a flea bath at the owner's expense to prevent spreading to other dogs. For future visits, flea prevention medication must be administered prior to drop-off.
Aggressive Behavior
We maintain a zero tolerance policy for aggressive or violent behavior. If your pet displays aggression towards us or other animals, they will no longer be permitted to use our services. No exceptions.
By using our services, you agree that if your dog exhibits aggressive behavior resulting in injury or damages to another dog, person, or property, you will be held fully liable for all related expenses. This includes any medical costs and property damages incurred.
We take dog safety seriously and expect all pet owners to do the same. Together, we can maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all dogs in our care.
Additional Pet Requirements
- Spay/Neuter: Dogs over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered.
- Health: Pets must be in good health. We cannot accept pets with contagious illnesses.
What to Bring
- Enough food for the duration of the stay (plus extra)
- Any medications with clear instructions
- Your pet's favorite toys or comfort items (optional)
- Leash and collar with ID tags
- Vaccination records (for first visit)
Drop-off & Pick-up
- Times: Drop-off and pick-up times will be arranged at the time of booking.
- Late Pick-up: If you are unable to pick up your pet at the scheduled time, please notify us as soon as possible. Additional charges may apply for extended stays.
- Authorized Persons: Only the pet owner or a designated person may pick up your pet. Please notify us in advance if someone else will be collecting your pet.
Medical Care & Emergencies
- Emergency Care: In case of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If we cannot reach you, we will seek veterinary care for your pet.
- Veterinary Costs: You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during your pet's stay.
- Authorization: By booking with us, you authorize us to seek emergency veterinary care if needed.
Liability
While we take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet, you acknowledge that:
- Pet boarding involves inherent risks, including interactions with other animals
- Maria's PetBNB is not liable for illness, injury, or death that may occur, except in cases of gross negligence
- You are responsible for any damage your pet causes to property or other animals
- You agree to provide accurate information about your pet's health, behavior, and history
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at any time if:
- A pet displays aggressive or dangerous behavior
- A pet is found to have fleas, ticks, or contagious illness
- Vaccination requirements are not met
- Information provided about the pet is found to be inaccurate
In such cases, you will be contacted to pick up your pet immediately. Refunds will be provided at our discretion.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
