Everything you need to know about boarding your pup with me. Can't find your answer? Just reach out!

To keep all my furry guests safe and healthy, I do require current vaccinations: Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza), and Bordetella (kennel cough). Just bring proof of vaccinations to your first visit. If your pup needs an update, no worries - most vets can get them current within a day or two, and I'm happy to wait until they're ready!

I'd love to welcome you and your pup to my home in Spring Valley! Drop-off is easy and gives you a chance to see where your fur baby will be staying. Can't make the drive? No problem! I offer a Pet Uber pickup and drop-off service to make things convenient for busy pet parents.

Your pup gets to stay in my cozy family home in Spring Valley, San Diego - complete with a backyard for playtime and sunshine! This isn't a kennel or facility; it's a real home where dogs roam freely (cage-free!) and become part of the family. Think of it as a fun sleepover at a trusted friend's house.

Great question! At traditional kennels, dogs stay in individual runs with rotating staff. Here at Maria's PetBNB, your dog stays in my actual home where they can roam freely, curl up on comfy beds (or sneak onto the couch!), and receive personal, one-on-one attention. I'm here 24/7, so your pup is never alone - it's like having a loving friend care for them while you're away.

I intentionally keep my guest list small so every pup gets the individual attention they deserve. The number varies based on sizes and personalities to ensure everyone gets along beautifully. Quality time with each dog is what makes this experience special, and I never want that to be compromised.

Absolutely! I welcome senior dogs, anxious pups, and those who need medication or extra TLC. Every dog is unique, and I genuinely enjoy providing that extra bit of care. Just share your dog's specific needs when booking so I can be fully prepared. For some special cases, I may suggest a meet and greet first so we can make sure your pup feels comfortable and confident in their home away from home.

Your dog's health and safety are my absolute top priority. If anything seems off, I'll contact you right away. For direct bookings, you're protected by our PawProtect Guarantee, which covers up to $1,000 in vet expenses for eligible claims. I always have emergency vet contacts ready and can transport your dog immediately if needed. Rest assured, your fur baby is in caring hands.

Just the essentials! Bring your dog's regular food (though I'm happy to provide meals if that's easier), any medications, and a favorite toy or blanket that smells like home - it helps them feel cozy and secure. Feel free to bring their crate if they love it! First-time guests will need vaccination records. I provide everything else: bowls, comfy beds, treats, and lots of love.

The best tip? Keep goodbyes short and sweet - our pups pick up on our emotions, and a calm drop-off helps them settle in faster. A good walk or play session before arriving helps them feel relaxed. And don't worry about missing them too much - I'll send you regular photo and video updates so you can see your dog making friends and having a wonderful time!

Life happens, and I totally understand that plans can change! I just ask for at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations may incur a 50% charge since I reserve the spot specifically for your pup. That said, I know emergencies are unpredictable - if something comes up, please reach out and we'll work together to find a solution.

Booking direct comes with some wonderful perks! You'll save $10/night compared to third-party platforms, plus you get access to our PawProtect Guarantee (up to $1,000 in vet coverage) and PawPerks loyalty rewards - book 14 nights and your 15th night is free! You also get direct communication with me throughout the process. Same loving care, with added value and peace of mind.

Pet Uber is my convenient pickup and drop-off service for busy pet parents! If getting to Spring Valley is tricky, I'm happy to come to you (subject to availability). One-way service is $35 and round-trip is $60. I cover San Diego County, and your pup rides safely in my climate-controlled vehicle. Just ask about it when booking!

Yes, absolutely! While I don't have live streaming cameras, I believe in keeping pet parents connected. I send daily photo and video updates so you can see your pup playing, relaxing, and having a great time. Pet parents often tell me these updates give them wonderful peace of mind - and it's always fun sharing the cute moments!

I'm quite flexible! Since I work from home, I have availability throughout the day and we can coordinate times that work best for your schedule. I want to make this as convenient as possible for you. Just a heads up: pickups more than 8 hours after the scheduled time count as an additional day, since I'll have been caring for your pup through another full day.

I specialize in dogs 40 lbs and under - small pups are my specialty and passion! This helps ensure all my guests play safely and comfortably together. If your dog is just slightly over 40 lbs, please don't hesitate to reach out! I'm happy to chat about your pup's temperament and see if we might be a good fit.
